Mrs. Adejoke Chukwumah, nee Adebayo, holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and a second degree in International Economics & Banking, from the University of Wales, Cardiff. She has had extensive training both locally and abroad. Notable amongst which are: Citibank – New York: IMD – Lausanne, Switzerland: IESE –Barcelona, Spain, IE –Madrid, Spain: Cornell University – Ithaca, New-york and Lagos Business School – Lagos. Upon her return to Nigeria in 1987 she commenced an 11 year career in Banking with Continental Merchant Bank, Lagos thereafter commenced fulltime employment with Chartered Bank and then in 1992 joined Guaranty Trust Bank Plc till September 1998 having attained the position of Assistant General Manager. Her work experience covers educational provision, financial administration, credit, marketing, consumer & corporate banking.
She set up a trading Company – Lucent Limited – to enable her focus on the home front and in 2003 decided to pursue her dream of establishing a school of international standard and repute and currently has 700 Students– Children’s International School – in Lagos, Nigeria. Mrs. Adejoke Chukwumah, aside from her passion for Education, is a non-executive director in many companies, some of which are: Lucent Limited, Investment One Financial Services Limited: Investment One Funds Managers Limited and she is the Executive Director of Children’s International School,(CIS) Lekki.
She also sits on the Board of MAG Furniture Limited, Investment One Pension Managers Limited, and Children Developmental Centre, Keystage Educational Services and Chadstone Training Institute. She acts as a mentor to young female business women and she is on the Advocacy Committee for Women on Boards for WIMBIZ and a member of IOD.
The woman of inestimable value has major interests in self & professional development; political strategizing and discourse; sports and showing love to others. She is well travelled, well read and well versed but ultimately, a consummate professional with the compassionate touch.
She was recently conferred with honorary chieftancy title of Eye Fiwajoye of Iyin Kingdom in Ekiti State. She is married to Cyril and are blessed with beautiful children – Alexa and Cyril
